The mission of the National Joint Apprenticeship and
Training Committee is to develop and standardize training to educate the
members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the
National Electrical Contractors Association; insuring and providing the
Electrical Construction Industry with the most highly trained and skilled
workforce possible.
IBEW keeps its electricians in the know as technology changes. Every IBEW electrician has completed the regimented training program that assures standardized skills from apprentice to journeyman. After 5 years of vigorous classroom and on-the-job training our apprentices are armed with the skills that have become second nature to them. They follow blueprints, work safely with high voltages, connect service and troubleshoot the heaviest and most complicated electrical equipment and controls. But the training doesn't stop there, IBEW offers all of its electricians ongoing, continuous training at our state-of-the-art training facility.
